UPDATE: Sorry to have to convey some bad news: we will not be going this Saturday due to uncertainties about whether or not the road will be opening in time for us Saturday AM. This is a direct consequence of the recent government shutdown. Park crews have been working to prepare the roads and hope to have them ready by Saturday, but the ranger I spoke to could not guarantee anything. So, rather than getting the vans organized and risk being turned around at the gate, we will reschedule the trip for MARCH 2nd.
If you can go March 2nd, you don't need to do anything. We'll just change the date on the paperwork and you're good to go. If you can't go on March 2nd, please let me know. Thanks!
